Future Biogas Ltd is one of the leading developers, builders and operators of Anaerobic Digestation plants in the UK. Using proven technology, the company has grown significantly over the last 3 years having commissioned their first Biogas plant in Norfolk in 2011 and their 2nd Norfolk plant in February this year. Future Biogas Ltd have a further 2 plants due to be built and commissioned by summer 2013 as well as a number of sites across the country at planning stage for 2013 and 2014. Due to this rapid growth, they now require a Regional Feedstock Manager to secure, manage and optimise the supply of biomass crops for the AD plants within Norfolk. Future Biogas will be growing in excess of 3,500 ha of biomass crops across the UK during 2013.
Working closely with the National Feedstock Manager and Agricultural advisor, this role is responsible for ensuring the right quality and volume of biomass is grown for the current and future sites (23,000 to 35,000 tonnes per plant). This will involve establishing and managing contracts with Landowners and Farmers, supervising the activities of contractors, updating cropping and mapping records and ensuring ensiling and storage of crops is carried out to high standards.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an advisory, sales or farm management position in a business related to agriculture within the Norfolk region. Experience in dealing with farmers, contractors and farm managers would be useful as well as knowledge of crop management and mapping systems as well as current environmental legislation. BASIS/FACTS qualifications would be a distinct advantage.
