AFRICA FARM AGRONOMIST

THE JOB TITLE – Farm Agronomist, Africa.
THE INDUSTRY – Forage Farming in Sudan under Pivot Irrigation - Alfalfa, Wheat, Barley, Maize & Sorghum
THE SALARY – circa £65,000 (SDG 450,000) Basic Salary + Medical + Evacuation + Accommodation + Living Expenses + Home Visit Flights + Life Assurance
THE TERRITORY -  Sudan, Africa.

THE ROLE - As an experienced Agronomist with overseas experience preferable, you will take responsibility of for driving the project forward day-to-day and especially in-field operations. You will be responsible for the crop husbandry and monitoring, trials, pesticide and nutrient programs, soil moisture and irrigation scheduling and assisting in planning. Reporting directly to the Farm Manager and to the organisations Senior Agronomist. The role requires an individual seeking an overseas career progression and huge job satisfaction within a unique and forever evolving industry.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED –
* Experience in Agronomy - Essential.
* A background in understanding arid conditions and use of irrigation - Preferred.
* Experienced in field work – Essential.
* Physical endurance – Essential.
* Ability to live and work in remote and basic conditions – Essential.
