General Manager - Kenya

Millar Cameron is currently representing a leading agribusiness who are looking for a General Manager to lead their Kenyan horticultural business. This position is with an exciting company who focus on best practice and farming sustainability. They supply international markets, working with some of the worlds leading supermarkets 

The General Manager must have extensive exposure in leading commercial farms, having spent at least ten (10) years in senior management positions. They must have a full understanding of scheduling according to consumer demand, with a focus on advanced planning and quality control. 

The successful General Manager will be responsible for:

• Managing the operations of a large commercial.
• Overseeing all facets of the farm to ensure communication across departments
• Ensuring the satisfaction of customers
• Developing relationships with key customers
• Leading and managing large teams 
• Overseeing continuous improvement strategies alongside the continual development of the business

The ideal General Manager will have:

• At least ten (10) years’ experience in senior management positions on a commercial flower farm
•  
• Extensive knowledge of farming with a passion for horticulture
• Demonstrable success with operational delivery and adhering to high-quality standards
• P&L management experience 
•  Excellent interpersonal, numeracy and leadership skills
•  Experience working with strict deadlines 
•  A resilient nature and approach to leadership
