Technical Manager (Fertility/Vets) - Home-based

De Lacy Executive has been retained to assist in the recruitment a Technical Manager. Our client provides genetics and advice to ruminant farmers. The company uses their extensive research and development to assist farmers in maximising the full potential with their livestock.

Due to continued expansion, our client is seeking a person who can run and develop a team of farm service advisors. The successful applicant will have a good technical understanding of genetics, fertility and their influence of herd health. Additionally, the ability to grow and build the A.I. part of the business. This is a farmer facing role. This could be a great opportunity for large animal vets who are looking for a new challenge. Alternatively, applicants with a specialism in fertility will equally be of interest.

Requirements:

• Veterinary degree / postgraduate degree or similar qualification and training in agriculture or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in UK livestock industry.
• Ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
• Good communication and report writing skills.
• People management experience - desirable but not essential.
• IT literate.
• Valid UK driving license.

Location: The role will be to cover the whole of the UK. As a result, the role can to an extent be based around the ideal candidate. However, preference would go to those in the Midlands.

Remuneration: A competitive remuneration package will be offered and will reflect the experience of the successful candidate.
