The farm, which has undergone recent and on-going investment, enjoys exceptional modern facilities providing both the animals and the staff an excellent environment to perform in.  The herd consists of 800 cows in milk with potential to milk further.  A focus on rearing excellent replacements is the ultimate goal for this position and as such you will be responsible for all youngstock from day old calf to heifers entering the herd.

You will undertake feeding, vaccinations, de-horning general health, welfare and husbandry tasks and ideally AI of bulling heifers.  You will keep accurate records and working alongside the herd manager and owners take a proactive approach to youngstock management ensuring an animal fit for purpose enters the herd.

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role with a proven track record, a can do approach with excellent communication skills, taking ownership of the animals in their care.
