Dairy Assistant in Kent Ref 2514

The Farm:
This 300 cow herd are milked 3 x day through a 20:40 swingover parlour and housed all year round, with good modern facilities in place.

The Role:
Seeking team member complete share of the milking which would include milking routine (including rota for night milking within the team), with general farm work. Work would include milking, some yard work, calf rearing duties, and operation of tractor/ telehandler/ yard scrapper.
Ability to foot trim would be a benefit but not essential.
The farm has trained new entrants and apprentices’ in the past, so able to offer sound training for lesser experienced candidates.

The Applicant:
The successful applicant would be:

• Milking experience preferred 
• Yard work, feeding, bedding up etc
• Stock work, calf rearing

Accommodation:
Newly renovated 1 bedroom apartment, nominal rental charges with all bills included (£125-£150pcm)

Additional Info:
This is a contract position, where the successful person will operate as an agency worker with Farm Solutions. This means that the person will not have sub-contractor responsibilities and all statutory tax deductions and payments will be made by Farm Solutions on their behalf. Hourly pay operates, which includes pay for overtime hours worked.
