Livestock and Farm Assurance Scheme Co-Ordinator – North East

De Lacy Executive has been retained to recruit a Livestock and Farm Assurance Scheme Co-Ordinator to be based in the North East of England. Our well respected and established client is one of the UK’s leading farmer owned co-operatives who offer a range of services into the monogastric sector direct to farm, this including their own units.

This is a diverse role which holds both practical livestock and technical skills. An interest in farm assurance schemes, quality control, livestock traceability and animal welfare are key elements within this role alongside good stockman ship. This role will be a combination of office and on-farm based therefore residing within this territory will be essential.

This is a great opportunity for a graduate or a practical candidate who is looking to move into a more commercial oriented position.       

Requirements:  

• Practical livestock experience – ideally with pigs.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) skills across all levels, dealing with farmers and other third parties.
• Attention to detail.
• Be self-motivated, flexible and a good team player.
• Competent IT skills.
• Willingness to learn and progress.
• Good written skills.
• Valid UK driving licence.
