We require an experienced and enthusiastic herdsperson to work alongside the existing team on a successful dairy business near Tarporley in Cheshire.

The farm has made significant investment over the past few years resulting in outstanding facilities and working environment for both staff and cow and now require an extra herdsperson to share day-day responsibilities and help progress the business further. New cow housing and a new 32:64 rapid exit parlour (with auto ID and rumination collars) and all labour saving devices have recently been installed to milk the herd of 650 cows which are milked 3 times a day, housed all year round and are currently averaging over 38 litres / day.

The successful candidate will need to be a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who has extremely high standards with a particular eye for attention to detail, able to think for themselves and be able to run all elements of a large, modern dairy herd when required. Communication and being a team player are the most important qualities we are looking for in someone for this role. Staff retention is extremely good due to the existing team morale.
