We are looking for a new member of staff to join an existing team on our 8,000 acre beef unit in Wiltshire on Salisbury Plain military training estate.  The business consists of approximately 600 cows with progeny run on to 18 months (a total of approximately 1,800 head); it is a unique environment in which to work with unique challenges. 

The cattle are grazed extensively all year round on largely SSSI chalk downland.  The main responsibility will be moving cattle day to day using electric fencing, ensuring that they have grass, water and minerals at all times as well as helping out with the day to day duties of a general stockperson.  The ideal candidate will be highly motivated by the welfare of the cattle, able to work in a team and have experience of rotational grazing systems.

There is no accommodation available but we will help source a suitable house in the locality. 
A vehicle is provided for use getting to and from work, for the job and can be made available for private use if necessary subject to the tax implications.
