Field Trials Manager

As a result of their commitment to developing new natural technologies that deliver global environmental and major crop nutrition benefits, our client now requires a Field Trials Manager to manage an extensive UK and European based field trials programme.  Based in the East Midlands our client is recognised for its world class research and development capability and its highly skilled team of scientists.  The business strategy is totally focussed on innovative product development that would not only bring about environmental but also economic benefits for both farmers and the wider population.

The Role

 This new and exciting opportunity will be a role primarily responsible for the management of extensive field trials, results analysis and the production of reliable data to support the commercial development and successful launch of a patented unique crop nutrition product range. The trials will be UK and Pan European based, therefore the requirement to travel periodically to share ideas and best practice with colleagues in other countries will add to the diversity this role offers.

Once established, there are no barriers limiting the progression of this appointment to an even more senior level in the organisation as the business grows.

The Candidate

To be successful you must be adept at the collation and computation of results with an ability to present complex information to the wider team. You will have at least two years’ experience of agricultural field trials or crop science with a degree in Biotechnology, Plant Science or related specialism, having a PhD would be a distinct advantage. Above all else candidates must share our client’s passion for delivering solutions and be prepared to embrace change in a dynamic work environment
