Brooksby Melton College is a specialist vocational Further and Higher Education provider in Leicestershire, spread across two main campuses – one in the heart of the lively market town of Melton Mowbray and the other on an 850-acre estate at Brooksby.

The College received a “Good” Ofsted judgement in 2016 and our objective is to be judged an “Outstanding” College within the next five years. As part of this journey, both our campuses have undergone a £27m redevelopment, bringing new facilities and improved environments for all our students and staff.

We are proud of the fact that our student achievement is the highest in the East Midlands for 16-18 year olds across all levels and is the 3rd highest for level 3 provision.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Engineering department for an experienced person who can develop and deliver Land Based Engineering levels 2 & 3.

Applicants will deliver theory and practical sessions in Land Based Service Engineering, and assist in the day-to-day management of practical resources.

Applicants should have an appropriate teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards this. A vocational qualification in LBSE is desirable, but experience of working with and/or teaching on agricultural machinery/heavy vehicles and plant machinery would be considered. Assessor and verifier awards would be a distinct advantage.

A successful candidate will be required to undertake, and be supported through, relevant teaching and vocational qualifications essential to the role.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Paul White, Programme Area Manager via email pwhite@brooksbymelton.ac.uk to arrange a time.

Our benefits include:

  •  Pension
  •  Generous Holidays
  •  Additional College Discretionary Closure Days
  •  CPD and Training
  •  Occupational Health Support
  •  Free Car Parking
