Do you have a background in mechanics or engineering with a passion for farming? If so, please get in touch. We are currently working with a family run business, who due to significant commercial growth, are looking to expand their team.

The Company:
They are a 2,000-acre potato and brassica farm with an additional 10 acres of nursery for module plant propagation. They're specialist vegetable growers, who supply UK wholesale markets and the private food service sector, and are also national food manufacturers of coleslaw, bagged salads and ready meals. They have an enthusiastic team working with modern, state of the art machinery and equipment, and are looking for someone to join the team.

The Job:
They are looking for an agricultural engineer with a background in farm work. The role will include servicing the online packing facilities, and working on bespoke designs and build projects with the MD. This would be an exciting opportunity for you to learn a wealth of practical experience and to develop your existing skills on a large modern farm. The role has opportunity for you to develop into a management position within the business.

You will have relevant qualifications in mechanics or engineering, college level or higher, and be confident in using your skills to support the high-tech farm you'll be working on. You will also have a farming background, knowledge in vegetables is desired, but not essential. The role will require to you do a variety of tasks throughout the day, so you will be happy to be involved in both the farming and the engineering side of the operation. A full, clean driving licence is essential.
