Farm Manager - Scotland

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced farm manager, agricultural advisor, or farm business consultant to oversee a portfolio of farms across Scotland. The diverse farms are spread across Scotland and encompass upland, lowland, livestock and crop cultivation. This important role will involve working with a wide range of stakeholders from each of the farms, the central organisation, and also the wider agricultural industry; to ensure that the farms achieve operational, financial and technical efficiency, whilst complying with relevant legislation and environmental needs. This is a great opportunity to really make a difference, to innovate, and to help this industry leading organisation to evolve and transform for the future.

Candidate requirements:

• Relevant degree in Agriculture or similar qualification
• Substantial experience in farm management, either directly or indirectly
• Keen interest in livestock farming, and ideally some expertise in dairy farming
• Strong leadership and people skills are essential
• Communication skills
• Project management
• Financial Management expertise  
• Awareness of Environmental legislation and Health & Safety requirements
