Work Location: Manor Farm, Southampton

Contract Type: Permanent
Hampshire County Council's Countryside Service manages over 3000ha of land across Hampshire. These sites represent some of the most important habitats for wildlife and conservation in the County, including five designated National Nature Reserves due to their international importance; sixty percent of which are designated Sites of Special scientific interest.
The Countryside Service is developing its grazing and farm strategy to ensure it continues to provide high quality site management and visitor offer across its sites and farm attractions. A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Stockperson to work as part of the Countryside Team in delivering its farming and grazing objectives across Hampshire.
Working with the Farm Manager and Ranger teams, we are looking for an enthusiastic person with an eye for detail to develop and implement a programme of livestock management for our in-hand operations, liaison with local graziers and to lead on the day to day management of our brand new over-wintering facility and operational hub at Manor Farm near Bursledon.
