Agronomist

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with one of the UK's leading berry growers. We are looking for a FACTS and BASIS qualified candidate with previous agricultural experience, with a desire to develop a career in agronomy.

The Company:
The business we're working with are one of the top suppliers for berries into UK retailers; specialising in strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries across farms in the South of England and Portugal. The farm we are looking to recruit for is a 400-acre farm, growing berries specifically in polytunnels.

The Job:
We are looking for an Agronomist with previous experience working in agriculture. The role will include working alongside Crop Managers and the Spraying team in all aspects of growing, irrigation and bio control. The successful candidate will be confident in implementing and maintaining IPM programmes, spray plans and liaising with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure COSSH assessments are in place and communicated.

You:
You will be fluent in English, both reading and writing, with a clean UK driving licence. The role will involve communication with team members daily, so you must be comfortable working as part of a team. FACTS and BASIS qualifications are desirable. Previous experience in agriculture is essential, preferably with soft fruit or in glasshouses. The is a great opportunity to develop a career as an Agronomist.
