Animal Welfare Advisor (Bovine TB) 

The National Farmers’ Union is the voice of British farming, and our members are at the heart of what we do. On their behalf we lobby government and other stakeholders, develop policy and provide a range of frontline services. 

Position: TB Adviser 
Location: Nationwide 
Job type: Full Time, 2-year fixed term contract 
Salary: Circa £30,066 per annum plus company car

About the role: 

The NFU is looking for a specialist TB Adviser to help co-ordinate applications for wildlife control licences and to provide a field-based advisory resource supporting farmers working to national TB licensing and trading rules. 

The role will require someone with an in-depth knowledge of livestock farming, an eye for detail, strong organisational skills, good communication abilities and a ‘can do’ attitude. You must be motivated by a challenge and willing to take ownership of your own work area within a wider project. 

The role will cover the West Midlands and Southwest region.
