What’s the role?

Due to business expansion, an exciting new role has been created for a crop nutrition agronomist for East Anglia and Southern England.

The successful candidate will provide technical solutions to customers’ needs, maximising sales of foliar and speciality fertilisers, building strong relationships with existing customers and developing new business in the process.

Where’s it located?

Working from home, but based either in East Anglia or Southern England

What will be expected of me?

As a crop nutrition agronomist, you will be expected to prepare, agree and implement a coherent sales plan that will achieve growth and deliver exceptional customer services.

Working with direct sales managers, agronomists, distribution and credit control personnel, you will develop close working relationships to offer support and meet customer requirements. Where technically appropriate, you will influence their decision-making to promote the Omex product range.

You will be expected to develop technical expertise in a particular crop sector, such as roots or brassicas, as well as expertise in particular product groups, such as PGPRs or elicitors.

When required, you will also provide authoritative technical training, advice and support for distributor customers and independent agronomists.

What qualities should I have?

  • Ideally, both BASIS and FACTS qualified. An agricultural-based qualification would be an additional advantage
  • Be able to demonstrate a successful commercial and technical track record in advising and selling to farmer customers.
  • Working from a home base, you should be highly self-motivated, tenacious and have the technical authority and interpersonal skills to develop strong personal relationships with customers and colleagues
