A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Pig Manager for a 900-sow outdoor breeding unit in Oxfordshire.
This top-performing unit is part of a well-established farm operating an RSPCA Assured high-welfare pig production system.
The farm is a 400-hectares ring-fenced site on the beautiful countryside on the edges of the Berkshire downs.
The owners run a modern farm with continual investment in people and training.
The chosen applicant will be actively involved with all areas of the pig breeding unit to meet the business requirements for the company.
The ideal candidate must have:
- Great communication skills
- Excellent stockmanship
- High welfare and husbandry abilities
- Motivation and a positive attitude
- Previous practical experience with livestock
- Previous managerial experience is desirable
Salary: £25k - £30k (could be higher for the right person) + Work Place Pension Scheme.
Family housing on-site is also on offer.
