WHAT’S THE JOB? EUROPEAN SALES DIRECTOR
WHO’S THE EMPLOYER? A dynamic company operating in the animal nutrition industry. Their growing range of forage improvement products helps producers to increase the yield from their existing land. Based in North London, they operate globally with sales in over 30 countries around the world. As a result of internal promotion, they are looking for someone to manage their existing European business, with the opportunity to extend the role more widely.
WHAT’S THE INDUSTRY? Animal nutrition products
HOW WILL I BE REWARDED? Competitive basic salary (depending on experience) + commission and bonus,
WHAT’S THE TERRITORY? Europe (France, Germany, Spain, POrtugal, Italy, Scandinavia, Benelux)
TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE ROLE? Responsible for developing sales business within the assigned territory, you will focus both on managing existing customer accounts and developing new business.Working out from the North London office a few days a week and flying into territory you will be familiar with European business development and culture.
WHAT WILL MY RESPONSIBILITIES BE?
Develop the brand in Europe
Develop and manage the dealer network
Manage the small team of sales and support people
Deliver the annual sales target for the region, including direct sales
Attend key dealer and customer sales meetings, trade shows, product demonstrations, providing support and follow up as required
Recognize market and innovation trends and work with colleagues to develop the product range
WHAT QUALITIES DO I NEED TO HAVE?
- 4+ years of experience in a European sales, business development or service position
- Experience in agriculture or biogas industries
- Ability to develop full technical understanding of the sectors
- Comfortable with new technology
- Ready to travel frequently across Europe
- Full driving licence
- Excellent English
- Additional European languages (French/German preferred)
