Farm Manager - Welsh Borders/Shropshire

De Lacy Executive has been retained by a progressive farming operation to recruit a Broiler Farm Manager to manage a family run site in the West Midlands.

The proficient candidate will have previous broiler experience and be in charge of running the 250,000 bird farm with welfare and productivity in mind

This is a rewarding long term role for a hands-on and committed individual, who has the confidence to run the farm for a successful family in the broiler industry.

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic individual, dedicated to taking responsibility for a high standard of flock care, welfare and performance. This role may be suitable for an Assistant Manager looking for the next step in their career.

Responsibilities will typically include:

• Production performance
• Ensuring bird welfare
• Feed management
• Ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard
• Maintaining safe working practices
• Ventilation management
• Vaccinations
• Record keeping

The Requirements:

• Previous Farm Management Experience
• Effective people management skills.
• Ability to carry out manual duties.
• Proficient computer skills.
• NVQ level 3 in poultry production or similar would be desirable.
• Full UK driving license.

The Remuneration:

The remuneration package reflects this with an excellent salary and 3 bed home.
