Agri-EPI Centre has invested in a Farm Network to collect vast farm datasets to enable the digital transformation that can add value to the industry. The farms in our network are set up as testbeds for research and development to aid the improvement of productivity and efficiency within the sector; measuring the variances within each farming system using cutting edge precision agriculture equipment and sensors.
We are seeking to employ a talented and enthusiastic Technical Manager with experience in Robotics and/or Agriculture Engineering to work with the Head of Crop and Head of Dairy on the development of autonomous, robotics solutions, project development, technical inputs to projects and managing Agri-EPI’s capabilities and resources.
This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled individual to join Agri-EPI technical team to work with partners, members, and our satellite farm network to develop innovative solutions for both crop and livestock sectors. The position is for a permanent contract subject to continued Grant Funding.
The role will provide technical support to both Head of Crop (high value crop) and Head of Dairy specifically on the application of smart technologies, automation and robotics by utilising our technological capabilities and coordinating the activities of the satellite farms in England. The role will also involve actively horizon scanning for new and innovative solutions by engaging with leading science and technology providers to meet the challenges facing the industry.
