Hours:                37.5 Monday - Friday

Salary:                £23,000 - £25,000

Crop Health and Protection (CHAP) Ltd is one of four UK Agri-Tech Centres launched under BEIS supported by Innovate UK in 2015. As a unique, independent nexus between UK government, researchers and industry, CHAP builds innovation networks to identify and accelerate the development of cutting-edge solutions to drive transformative change in sustainable crop productivity. CHAP is now seeking a Bid Assistant to support the proposals for both grant-funded projects and commercial tenders.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Finance Director, this role will support and contribute to the establishment and operation of bid teams with the scientific expertise, service, product and business knowledge required to prepare winning bids. The role will oversee the Bid Management Team’s use of company databases and software including Salesforce and FinancialForce, accurately recording and monitoring all grant and commercial activities.

The Candidate

Suitable candidates will have at least 2 years’ experience managing administration in a similar role. The role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet challenging deadlines. Previous experience within bid / tender writing and management is highly desirable but not essential.
