At Sedgwick, demand for our Agriculture and Rural Network (ARN) expertise is growing. We would be keen to hear from anyone with agricultural knowledge and experience (including graduates with relevant qualifications in agriculture, horticulture, equine and other rural related subjects who have spent some time in business) who are looking for a different career path, while retaining existing skills.
You may not have an insurance related background, but we can offer relevant training to ensure you succeed. In return we offer a market leading package of remuneration and benefits including flexible working, attractive salary, career progression and performance related bonus opportunity.
Who are we?
Sedgwick is a business with 27,000 colleagues around the globe. We are a leading provider of technology-enabled risk, benefits and integrated business solutions, specialising in claims management and loss adjusting services. As a trainee Agriculture and Rural Network Adjuster, we`ll provide you with the tools and training required to investigate and agree losses on behalf of specialist rural insurance companies. You will meet their customers and assess their property and financial losses. You`ll work as part of a specialist team of Loss Adjusters and Claim Professionals. You will be supported by a dedicated, local team of experienced office based staff, all focused on delivering an unrivalled customer experience. You will be responsible for effectively managing a caseload and meeting all client expectations as well as maintaining and developing support from specialist rural Insurance Brokers and Agents.
You`ll be given full autonomy to use your initiative, empathy and understanding to customers - literally putting yourself in their shoes, but also using your business acumen to provide the right outcome.

Our Agriculture & Rural Network Client Director Jamie Rossiter adds: “I work for the UK arm of Sedgwick, who are an international claims management business, looking after insurance claims for the world’s largest and smallest insurance companies.
My background is a farmer’s son who went to Seale Hayne and following some years in working farm management and then farm business consultancy (Genus), I joined this business as an agriculture specialist, managing household and commercial insurance claims for the leading UK rural insurance companies.
I’ve now been here 23 years and we have a much expanded and ring-fenced team of 40 loss adjusters plus support executives. I would never have thought about insurance as a career for a farmer’s son, but it’s provided me with an amazingly varied career that gives unique insight into many farms and rural businesses as well as a good remuneration package and ample opportunities to progress.
We are now looking for the next generation of loss adjusters to join our Agriculture & Rural Network.”
