A leading company providing innovative farming solutions to livestock farmers in the UK is actively seeking a junior salesperson or graduate trainee to take up the role of UK Sales Support person. The role will be sales focused, looking to engage with livestock farmers across the UK. This role would suit an ambitious, enthusiastic and able individual looking to further their career in a successful globally recognised company.

The Role

The company are keen to recruit a sales support person to join their sales team, working from the East Midlands office and supporting the UK sales & marketing team. The appointed trainee will develop over 6 to 12 months through ongoing training; and will in time be given the opportunity to become a Regional Sales Manager (Midlands/South) in their own right. The role will be varied including:-

  • Managing daily and Regional sales activities along with attending National farming events when required
  • Prospecting new business – both via Telesales and On Farm visits
  • To become proficient in the CRM system including diary and pipeline management.
  • Customer support, always aiming to give a high quality service whilst ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Shadowing existing sales team    

The Candidate

  • Recent graduate in Animal Science, Agriculture, Animal Nutrition or similar
  • Good knowledge of UK livestock farming and agriculture – is essential.
  • Must be able to communicate well with farmers and colleagues by telephone and face to face. 
  • Candidates need to be highly motivated with a can-do attitude and determination. 
  • Solid organizational skills, task driven.
  • Commercial awareness and marketing skills would also be helpful.
  • Ability to work flexibly, and under pressure, within a busy team.
  • IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Driving licence essential as there will be some travel to events & meetings around the UK.
