Pig Farm Manager

Our client is seeking an Indoor Finishing Manager for their farm in Killashee, Co. Longford, Ireland.

The Farm Manager will be responsible for the financial and physical performance of the farm.
They will be expected to drive the business, implement both short and long-term business plans as well as manage a small team. 

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in pig farming
• Positive can-do attitude
• Willingness to learn quickly within a changing environment
• English and maths 
• Basic IT Skills
• Previous experience in managing people 
• Caring, passionate, driven, enthusiastic, competent
• Excellent eye for detail
• Interpersonal skills
• Animal welfare and good hygiene practice is critical
• Experience in working within a fast pace environment
• Flexibility and excellent time management skills

Desirable:

• Previous experience in livestock skills and in dealing with the day-to-day running of a farm
• Pig Management experience
• Driving licence

Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience.
