Join the John Lewis Partnership as a Herdsperson

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Herdsperson to join the John Lewis Partnership at our Leckford Estate.

Location: Leckford Estate, Stockbridge, Hampshire, SO20 6DA

Salary: Up to £11 per hour (negotiable, dependent on experience)

Hours: Earliest start time 3:30am/ Latest finish time 18:30pm

What you’ll be doing as a Herdsperson

As a Herdsperson, you will be working closely with the Abbots Manor Dairy production team to assist with the day to day management of our 500 cow herd.

You will need to have proven experience as a Herdsperson or assistant Herdsperson (milker) and have good practical skills as a stockperson. Attention to detail is a critical aspect of the role, as is a can-do’ attitude.

The focus of the role is on animal health and welfare, parlour hygiene, accurate record-keeping and, of course, teamwork and productivity.

Located near Stockbridge, Hampshire, Leckford Estate was purchased by John Spedan Lewis in 1929 and remained his home throughout his life.
