Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Soft Fruit Production Manager with a particular focus on berries to join a prestigious company at their state of the art strawberry production unit. This senior position will report to the Director of Soft Fruit Growing and is an excellent opportunity for an applicant with soft fruit and people management experience seeking progression within the industry.
The role will involve full responsibility for growing strawberries for contract orders and specifications. You will need to have an excellent understanding of quality assurance, crop husbandry and meeting targets.
Main Role responsibilities
- Quality Assurance.
- Crop husbandry, monitoring and maintenance.
- Production planning to include providing accurate yield information.
- People management.
About you:
- You will ideally hold FACTS, BASIS and PA certificates.
- Prior experience working in a production management role.
- Excellent understanding of growing berries, particularly strawberries.
- Team player, with people management experience.
Salary: The salary will reflect the candidates experience and be given on pro-rata basis.
