Now, more than ever, there is a requirement to understand the customers’ needs to ensure the right support and advice at the right time. To achieve this, UPL are growing their UK based Sales team and have a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate. 

Working with the established distribution network, the Account Manager will provide full commercial support to customers with a range of responsibilities including:

  • Leading the commercial activities for accounts
  • Co-ordinating the technical support to the accounts
  • Forecasting of sales and product demand 
  • Support and promote products that could be sold directly through distribution and support on-farm use.
  • Liaise with key customer influencers and stakeholders
  • Assist and implement product defense and stewardship programmes
  • Provide input to for business and campaign marketing plans

We are looking for candidates who are clearly self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills who have creative minds with the capability to transform development ideas into sales success. Candidates need to demonstrate a track record in building and maintaining relationships with customers and influencers. Ideally candidates will be qualified to degree level in agricultural sciences and have at least three years relevant technical experience. There is a need to have a comprehensive understating of crops and varieties as well as the pests, weeds and diseases in UK agriculture and experience of plant protection strategies coupled with bio-control and biostimulants used in the UK. A BASIS qualification is required for the position. This exciting home based role could present a natural career move for an ambitious commercial agronomist.
