Passionate about agriculture, but not certain how to get started or what career to choose?

Looking for a role where every day is different? Join us and you will learn new skills and work hard as part of a small team in a large company with great career progression.

NIAB runs the largest field crop research operation in England and Wales, with its headquarters at Cambridge and 11 other regional centres and over fifty staff directly involved with in-field trialling of crop varieties and inputs. Our field crop research and impartial information is widely utilised by the agricultural community.

You will have a sound practical knowledge of agriculture, be motivated and adaptable enough to work inside and out, with the expectation to work with a range of equipment and farm machinery. Some experience of working in field crop trials that includes pesticide application and crop assessment would be beneficial but full training will be provided where necessary.

We are currently looking to fill a position in our South region. Those beginning their careers are encouraged to apply to a company that has a comprehensive development programme and attractive pay and benefits package.

This position is a permanent, full-time appointment and starting salary will be in the range £19,626 to £25,896 pa (depending on skills, experience and qualifications) with paid overtime during peak seasons.
