Our client is looking to employ a Senior Indoor Pig Stockperson for their unit in Dorset.

The producer runs a progressive company and offers plenty of opportunities for their staff to progress in their careers.

They are specifically looking for a Head of Section in the Farrowing House department. The indoor unit is fully-slatted with a computerised wet feeding system,  farrowing 140 sows per week.

Reporting to the manager, the successful stockperson will be responsible for:

  • Managing the day-to-day running of the section
  • Ensuring that target performance is met
  • Managing a team of six
  • Implementing and following through changes that are suggested by senior management
  • Ensuring that the welfare of the animals is met at all times
  • Providing feedback to senior management on the issues and difficulties

Salary Guide up to £35K, will depend on experience and accommodation can be provided on-site in a modern 3 bed mobile home.
