Management role in South Lincolnshire farming business

Excellent opportunity available for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to develop their agronomy, management and storage skills within our business, working alongside the owner/manager and operations manager.

We farm 2,300ha in South Lincolnshire/North Cambridgeshire growing potatoes, cereals, sugar beet, oilseeds, vining/dried peas, and mustard. We operate a large potato storage enterprise and a haulage operation.

A keen interest in agronomy is essential for this role. Your main responsibility will be managing the application of crop inputs including plant protection products, fertilisers and manures. You will be responsible for crop planning, input ordering and record keeping. Crop and potato storage roles will be developed.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Fresh produce supply chain awareness
• Exposure to customer protocols and compliance measures
• Ability to plan and manage their time effectively
• Excellent IT skills
• BASIS & FACTS qualifications
• PA1/PA2/spraying experience in order to occasionally act as a relief operator
