Our retained client is seeking an exceptional candidate to take responsibility for and develop a newly constructed cattle finishing unit on their mixed farm near Scarborough, North Yorkshire.  With current capacity of 350 head from 4 months to finishing, the unit is constructed to maximise efficiency and benefits from a mill mix system, Ritchie Beef Monitor technology and top-class handling facilities and equipment.

Working as part of the team in a wider forward focused rural business, our client is looking for a team member who combines top quality traditional stock management and broader farming skills or who can grow in to the role with appropriate support.

The successful candidate will have complete enthusiasm and passion for farming to the highest standards coupled with a desire to drive the physical and financial performance of the enterprise with minimal supervision at an early stage.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE

A flexible remuneration package is available to reflect the skills and attributes of the successful applicant and will be offered by negotiation. This may include accommodation if required.

The role is subject to completion of a satisfactory probationary period. Training to meet the requirements of the role will also be available if required.

INTERVIEW

Subject to any changes to Covid restrictions, it is anticipated that initial interviews will be conducted by telephone and those shortlisted will then be invited to the farm in  early March for final interview. Applicants invited for interview will be advised of arrangements as appropriate.

DATA PROTECTION

All applications not progressed to interview will be destroyed and removed from our digital and paper records on conclusion of the interview process unless applicants wish for us to retain these for future roles.
