Key to achieving this is the development of a sound technical base to our activities and in order for us to take this to the next stage, we are now looking for an inspiring and commercially-focused Technical Manager.

 

Your role:

■ KWS UK is looking for an enthusiastic, team player to initiate, manage and develop the technical platform for the KWS UK product range and communicate this to all relevant stakeholders in a positive and professional manner.

■ Working within our commercial team, you’ll be focusing on our cereal, oilseed & pulse portfolios to build optimum market awareness through topical and creative insight on current crop production issues and the positioning of our products within this.

■ This is a Full-Time and Permanent Employment Contract.

 

Your tasks: 

■ Maintening a regular dialogue with appropriate members of commercial/breeding teams reporting on progress of varietal development and changes within the agricultural environment.

■ Establishing and managing internal/external development trials to support key products in line with budgets and reporting to all relevant parties to aid variety growth.

■ Organising regular meetings with associated influencers and customer groups and focusing on the regional trials and demo sites.

■ Drawing on the skills of product managers as necessary in supporting our sales team with activities and events such as Cereals.

■ Managing relationships with the farming community and the information flow between parties.

 

Your profile:

■ Agronomically aware with sound technical ability and thorough understanding of farming practices.

■ Able to meet deadlines and manage budgets for trials and commercial activities

■ Entrepreneurial, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised

■ Excellent communication and relationship building skills

■ BASIS qualified and, ideally, FACTS qualified

■ Be willing to travel across the UK and hold a UK driving licence.
