NIAB runs the largest field crop research operation in England and Wales, with its headquarters at Cambridge and twelve regional centres and over fifty staff directly involved with in-field trialling of crop varieties and inputs. As a result of internal promotions, we are currently looking to fill positions in our Eastern region. You will be involved in sowing, growing, assessing and harvesting a wide range of arable and horticultural crops. To be successful, you will need a good basic level of education, excellent team working and communication skills and a keen eye for detail. Some experience of working in field crop trials that includes pesticide application and crop assessment would be beneficial, but full training will be provided where necessary.

A full UK driving licence is required, as travel around the country to trial sites is required.

These positions are permanent, full-time appointments with a salary in the range of £19,626 to £25,896 per annum depending on skills, experience and qualifications and also paid overtime during peak season.
