Skilled Arable Operator

A progressive arable farm north of Bury St Edmunds requires a skilled arable operator to join a small team. The farm extends to 1542ha growing combinable crops, sugar beet and sunflowers over three farm bases in a 20-mile radius.

The chosen candidate will be able to work to the highest standards and hold a full clean driving license, PA1, PA2, PA4S, rough terrain forklift and other related competence certificates. This opportunity requires a candidate who has excellent communication skills, flexibility as the business requires, a high attention to detail and the ability to work within a team or individually with a ‘can-do’ attitude.

We operate modern Claas machinery including a Lexion 770, Xerion 4500 & Axion 950 alongside an Agrifac self-propelled sprayer all using GPS technology. The role will include shared responsibility for drilling, spraying, fertiliser applications, secondary cultivations and other key roles. Regular training is provided on regulatory areas of the business alongside chosen skills.
