Our client has been established for over 100 years and has over 2,700 Ha of land - both used in house and contracted out. This business has a clear vision of their future and is committed to investing in innovation and its people in order to continue growing fantastic fresh produce in a sustainable way.

The Role

Working closely with the Farms Director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day cropping and operations of the farm. It is currently a small team, so this role will be a very hands-on role and you will be getting involved in all parts of the business. You will be happy to run the day-to-day and also jump on a tractor as and when required. There is a lot going on in the business, and there is a great opportunity to learn from the Farms Director, develop personal skills and take on new projects within the business.

The Candidate

Ideally, we are looking for someone who's willing to take a step up from a Harvest Team Leader or an Assistant Farm Manager position. Communication skills are key as you will be responsible for building and maintaining with customers and colleagues. Flexibility is important, as the role is hands-on and you need to be happy to do whatever is required on the farm. Our client is very interested in precision farming and driving new methods and technology, so someone who was interested in new technologies would be beneficial. Regenerative Farming is also very important to our client so someone who was interested in conservation and rehabilitation approach to food and farming systems would be a real positive.
