Fera Science Ltd is a national and international centre of excellence for interdisciplinary investigation and problem solving across plant and bee health, crop protection, sustainable agriculture, food and feed quality and chemical safety in the environment. Fera create and deliver integrated, innovative and expert research services and products for their partners in crop protection, chemical and animal health companies, as well as food producers and growers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers and government.  Due to continued success and growth Fera Science are now looking to recruit a Senior Science Lead in Plant health and Biosecurity to take Fera’s current scientific offering to the wider market.

Fera Science Ltd are looking to recruit a Senior Science Lead in Pant Health and Biosecurity. The postholder will be accountable for driving Fera’s Plant Health and Biosecurity business through its science platform. This role will work across all of Fera and be able to lead multidisciplinary science teams to provide integrated solutions in applied plant health and crop protection. These solutions will be used to generate new and existing business in both local government and the private sector.

 As part of the role the successful applicant will take the lead for Fera’s plant programme at the Fera Science Committee and alongside the Operational Managers for matters relating to Defra, Natural England, CHAP and other government stakeholders – proactive advocation and active listening for the science agenda required to advance those relationships.
