Bedfordia Group is a third generation, family owned and managed business with two distinct business divisions: farming and property. From its beginnings as a family farm in the 1930’s, Bedfordia has had a strong family tradition that have evolved from the love of the land.

This newly created position of Arable and Grain Business manager, will lead and drive the business change and development required to improve our business further in the years ahead.

The Role:

Bedfordia Farms are looking to recruit an Arable and Grain Business Manager. Directly reporting to the Farms Managing Director this position will be responsible for the day to day running and growth of the Arable and Grain Business.

This is a newly created role. Bedfordia has identified an opportunity to join the Arable and Grain businesses together. This is therefore an exciting prospect, to which the Arable and Grain Business Manager will be able to put their stamp on creating a successful team, introduce new and innovative ways to implement positive change across the farm, develop and grow  the business and introduce strategies around improving processes.

Alongside delivering short-term and long-term plans at a strategic and tactical level, you will be responsible for developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders and mentoring the Arable and Grain services team.

The Candidate:

The ideal person for this role will need to be a confident manager and understand the intricacies and be able to demonstrate a track record managing an Arable Farm.

Bedfordia Farms whilst being third generation family owned, still runs as a corporate business and as such the successful person will need to be comfortable working within a structured environment. A commercial awareness is essential with a thorough understanding of budgeting and costings. Bedfordia Farms pride itself on running a highly successful team and as such personality fit is equally as important as technical capabilities. This role will not be suited to headstrong personalities, the right person will need to display confidence in the role, partnered with an understanding of how to get the best out of the team.
