We require an experienced and dedicated herdsperson to join the team on a modern unit  on the stunning Dumfriesshire coastline. 

The role, working under the herd manager, would entail milkings, herd health and welfare, treatments, daily record keeping and fertility work as well as foot trimming and general stock tasks.  Training can be arranged if not already qualified in AI and hoof care.  The high yielding herd is milked three times per day through a 20:40 Westfalia parlour, calves all year round and is cubicle housed. 

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, be a strong communicator and show dedication to the cows in their care.  In return for your efforts we offer a competitive salary with bonus schemes, regular time off and a recently refurbished 3- bedroom cottage on farm 1 1/2 miles from local fishing town of Kirkcudbright close to schools, supermarkets and stunning beaches and coast at the end of the farm drive.
