1800 acres arable cropping, including wheat, OSR, barley, beans, oats, canary seed.

Small beef finishing enterprise (Aberdeen Angus)

Parkland grass utilised by third party sheep graziers.

Woodchip biomass heating system for 70 properties.

Environmental stewardship.

 

Skills Required

Required to operate modern arable machinery (subsoiling, ploughing, secondary cultivations)

Manage grain storage and drying.

Tractor work including, trailer haulage, topping and haymaking.

A high standard of machinery maintenance is required.

Operate and service a biomass system. (Training provided)

Cattle handling, feeding and bedding.

Estate maintenance, including fencing, building repairs, welding and ground works.

 

Person

Would ideally suit an ambitious person looking to progress their career.

A versatile and multiskilled person, able to think on their feet and adapt to situations.

Computer literate, numerate, with good record keeping ability.

A tidy person, able to communicate well and take instruction.

Driving licence essential.

The following would be advantageous: - PA1, PA2, PA4, PA6 Telehandler and ATV certification.

 

Package
