Vitacress is one of Europe’s leading suppliers of fresh produce, specialising in Watercress, Salads and Fresh Herbs.

Vitacress Salads has a seasonal vacancy for an experience forklift operator to join the Seasonal Growing Team at our Farm in Pewsey.

This is a seasonal role normally until the end of October but could roll onto Mid November:

  • The Role reports to our Harvest Manager
  • The Role includes:
  • Offloading of harvest Trailer/ Loading of Arctic Lorries with picked orders.
  • Vacuum cooling of the newly harvested crop.
  • Weighing/labelling of the crates of produce.
  • Processing of daily orders as per the instructions of the Harvest Manager, scanning labels and linking to the IFS despatch sheets.
  • Carry out daily checks for the cooler and generator, as per the operating procedures.
  • Plus, any other tasks deemed necessary by the Harvest Manager relating to this role.

The applicants do not need to have a forklift licence however, it is essential that they have at least 2 years’ experience of using a forklift.

The farm works on a 40-hour week over 6 days, and there is guaranteed overtime during the season.
