As a Catchment Advisor based primarily in the Northamptonshire region you will facilitate a measurable improvement in drinking water quality by working in partnership with local agricultural stakeholders..
You’ll have proven experience working in the agricultural sector with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, you will actively develop strong working relationships across a network of farmers, technical advisors, suppliers, local authorities, NGOs and communities in the region.
Key responsibilities include the delivery of relevant agricultural advice on-farm, development and delivery of behavioural change initiatives, implementation of field trials and investigations of new technologies to support sustainable food production whilst maintaining the provision of safe, raw water.
The position is field based, with a company car provided and a degree of flexibility with your local office depending on location.

What does it take to be a Catchment Advisor?
Ideally you will have an agronomy or experienced agricultural/ land management background with strong technical agronomic skills alongside proven experience of working and the delivery of technical advice which facilitated a change to agricultural business practice.
Whilst there is a technical element to this role, you must possess clear and confident communication and people management skills. You will also need to demonstrate experience in building effective long-term partnerships to achieve strong working relationships and have excellent organisation and record keeping skills.
A clear understanding of new initiatives, measures, schemes and technologies relevant to the delivery of nett zero carbon and nett biodiversity gain in the agricultural sector would be advantageous.
FACTS and BASIS are highly advantageous but not essential.
