Our Client

Our client is a highly regarded Fresh produce business that supplies high quality fresh produce to retail, wholesale and food manufacturing customers. Due to their continued growth, we a looking for a Field Technical Manager to Lead the Field / Agronomy team based near Lincoln.

The role

You will be responsible for the overall technical management of crops, along with providing field and storage advice to growers within the business. You will work with the seed team to plan, grow and sell seed. You will work closely with the procurement team to ensure that the right quality and quantity of stocks are available at all times to satisfy customer's demands. You will provide technical advice and a level of crop monitoring to growers on all aspects of the growing and storing of crops.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate would be someone who has been in a field / crop manager position, Farm Management or Agronomy role. You will have worked alongside growers / farmers before and enjoy building long term relationships with them. If you were BASIS qualified that would be an advantage but it isn't Essential. You will have experience of managing people and helping them develop in their own career.
