Are you seeking a new career opportunity within a highly progressive company?

If you have a broad agricultural knowledge and an interest in farm machinery and equipment, this could be the perfect role for you.

De Lacy Executive's client is a British manufacturer who operates in the Construction, Waste and Agricultural Markets. They are market leaders in their industry, designing and building their systems specifically for various markets around the world.

Due to expansion, they are looking to develop their product sales further in the agricultural industry and seek a dedicated agricultural specialist, to head up sales and business development in the UK. For applicants of a more senior level who possess the relevant experience, there may also be the opportunity to progress into a broader management role covering agriculture, waste and construction.

This is primarily a B2B role working with OEM's and dealers but will involve some B2C, selling to agricultural contractors.

Although machinery parts sales experience would be beneficial, I am open to hearing from business development and sales professionals from other agricultural sectors.

Primarily office or home-based this position will involve occasional travel to attend both internal and customer meetings.

The role:

  • Manage and support the customer base to ensure existing business is maintained whilst seeking opportunities for growth and development
  • Follow up and convert leads generated from the company website and social media platforms
  • Develop the dealer network in the UK
  • Attend customer meetings as required
  • Attendance at trade shows and industry events

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven agricultural sales/business development experience
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated
