YOUNGSTOCK REARING ASSISTANT

We are looking to recruit a key team member to join our busy Grange Calf Rearing Unit

The Grange Team care for all the baby calves from our 5 Dairy Farms through their early weeks

This is a  rewarding role within an integral part of our business

Tasks you would be expected to help perform, include:

• Starting calves to drink milk
• Bedding hutches
• Steam cleaning
• General stock work (moving and vaccinating)
• Primarily large part of time will be operating a JCB to bed up, clean out and move hutches     
• Telehandler ticket will be needed but training can be given to achieve this

Hours are generally 05.00hrs to 17.00hrs

6 days week, with a break for breakfast and lunch

You will need to be:

• Physically fit 
• Happy to work outside
• A Team player and happy to work alongside others

Good remuneration package including a house offered with this position of responsibility
