We have a permanent opportunity for an enthusiastic assistant manager to help get our new broiler farm up and running and then help ensure its smooth and efficient running going forward. The farm consists of 2 broiler houses, totalling 85,000 bird places, with a straw burning biomass boiler.  The role will involve husbandry, welfare, keeping the farm tidy to achieve high biosecurity and overseeing day to day operations of the biomass boiler. The farm is brand new and built to a high specification.

We are working to a bird placement date of 20^th September 2021.

Experience of broiler work is essential for this role. Training and progression will be offered. We have ambitious plans to grow the size of the farm and are seeking the right person to progress with us and expand into the growing role. Part of the renumeration will be a performance related bonus, so we are looking for someone who can add something to the business and in turn increase their own renumeration.

You will be working alongside the farm owner, who has other elements of the business to be involved in day to day, so you will need to be self-motivated and able to work alone for parts of the job.  As well and being able to work with and coordinate others from the arable side during flock turnround.

• £31,500 basic salary (dependant on experience), plus bonus scheme

• The equivalent of 1 rest day per week of work
• IT literacy would be ideal for the role, but assistance will be offered
• UK driving license is essential
