A specialist Cumbrian company dedicated to dealing with farmers, is looking for a specialist machinery salesperson to sell their high-performance range of tractors and allied machinery equipment into the agricultural community. There is an existing customer base of farmer customers along with potential new farms to sell to.
Candidates should have some farm background and experienced in dealing with farmers as customers. A knowledge of livestock and/or arable farming would be advantageous but not essential. Candidates need to be customer focused with a desire to be successful in this selling role to farm. Previous sales experience would be advantageous albeit candidates with a farming background and an outgoing personality are encouraged to apply. Candidates should have competent computer skills and good basic maths. Completion of relevant paperwork is essential to completing this job role.
The employer is open minded to either experienced farm sales candidates wanting to sell machinery or alternatively an agriculturalist who wants to train and develop a successful sales career in the machinery sector. It is essential that the successful candidate have a driving license to facilitate this sales role. Candidates need to be team players and work with other sales team members to maximise sales.
It would be essential for candidates to live in North Cumbria with advantages to living between Carlisle, Penrith and Cockermouth.
