Elsham Linc Ltd, part of the Godfrey farming business, is one of the most forward thinking pig production businesses in the UK. With nearly 50 years of heritage, our multi-site business has grown to 6,500 breeding sows finishing all progeny to slaughter. We have invested heavily in modern facilities as we believe in creating a positive working environment for our employees which in turn creates our high standards of production.

Our Opportunity

Due to retirement, we are now looking to recruit an experienced General Manager to lead the next phase of growth. Reporting to the Board, the role will have a high degree of autonomy including budgetary responsibility for the business, driving all elements of the farm strategy and operations whilst directing, managing, and motivating their team to ensure all areas of production are maximized. The role will champion best practice across the business with particular focus on maintaining the high standards of welfare, Health & Safety, and herd performance. 

Our Ideal Candidate

To be suitable for the role, candidates will be highly capable senior managers with a strong track record, ideally of successfully managing multi-site operations within the pig industry. The candidate will be comfortable leading a large team, planning and prioritising their time effectively whilst managing multiple complex situations. Applicants must demonstrate excellent communication and motivation skills to lead people across the business whilst enjoying a good eye for detail analysing technical data and translating it into clear objectives for their teams to improve performance.
