Pig Farm Worker

We are recruiting for a Pig Farm Worker to join a pig unit in Nottinghamshire (NG24).

The mixed farm enterprise spans over 1000 acres of arable land, with breeding mule ewes and a large farrow-to-finish pig unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Farrowing
• Serving
• Completing relevant paperwork

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Covering for other stockpeople taking annual leave

Person specifications:

• Ideally, prior experience with pigs, although not essential as training, will be offered
• A can-do positive attitude
• Common sense
• Willingness to learn and a desire to progress
• Ambition - desire to take on management roles in the future
• Strong organisational skills
• High welfare standards at all times

  Salary: £24,000 - £30,000 (doe)

(Paid hourly + OT + bonuses)

Accommodation is not available so candidates must be able to commute to NG24.
