Job Details
Our client is a thriving, progressive family-owned mill based in the East Midlands. At the heart of their business is the Grain buying team, a critical and part of the business.
Positions within this team do not come up often, therefore our client is looking for a reliable, career driven person to join this dynamic and close-knit team. You will be involved in every aspect of the trading process from purchasing grain and commodities from farmers to monitoring market trends and selling wheat feed.
You will be commercial astute, able to thrive under pressure and someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, exciting role.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Purchasing wheat, barley and other commodities.
- Relationship management with farmers.
- Ensuring market activities, pricing and competitor knowledge is up to date. You will be required to present this to both internal and external contacts.
- Managing product and service problems.
- Coordinating testing, storage and transport of products with relevant departments.
